How it Works
Click any of the images to see larger versions. |
|
|
|
Browse the Archive Using the search facilities
provided, browse the Archive for lyrics that interest you most. Search by mood,
category, user, date and more.
|
Choose a lyric to view Once you've found a lyric
of interest, click to view it. You'll notice to the left of your view there is
various information on the lyric in question.
|
Give your feedback Let users know what you think
of their work. Add comments to lyrics to get your point across.
|
|
|
|
Jump into your 'My Members Area' Your My Members
Area is where you control the action. From here you can write lyrics, view and
edit your existing lyrics, change your personal settings, as well as create /
update your personal member profile.
|
Write a lyric From the New Lyric page you can
submit your genius! Choose a category and mood that you think fits the lyric
you're writing, add an 'About Lyric' if you so choose - letting members know
the history and inspiration behind the lyric, and decide whether you want to
make the lyric in question public to all members of Lyricalconstruct, or
private, so that only you can see it.
|
Respond to feedback If members like your work,
then they'll likely want to tell you! If members don't like your work, then
they may well still want to tell you! You can keep track of and respond to
comments on your lyrics via your My Members Area and by default you also
receive email notifications when a user adds a new comment against one of your
lyrics.

The Small Print
Lyrics you submit to Lyricalconstruct are only ever viewable by registered
members of the site, but you may be asking yourself, how do I know my lyrics
are safe? How do I know they won't be stolen? The truth is, if you choose to
make your lyrics public to registered members, then there is nothing at all to
stop other people from stealing them, but the chances of this happening are
remote. However, if you're the kind of person that really keeps your lyrics
close to your chest, then we'd still encourage you to use the site to house
your lyrics and simply select the 'private' option when submitting lyrics to
the Archive. A private lyric is a lyric only you can see. No evidence of its
existance will appear to anyone else on the site except you. This method is
ideal if you want somewhere to neatly file away all of your lyrics for
safe-keeping and so that you can access them at any time from wherever you are
in the world.
Very soon, along with the introduction of the PLP (Personalised Lyrics Page) -
which will give members the ability to decide how their lyrics are displayed,
there will be the introduction of a friends only option. This will be a
level of protection you can apply to the lyrics you submit that means only
people you have authorised to view your lyrics can actually see them and no one
else can.
For more information on the way your data is used and protected, please read our
privacy policy and FAQ.
